Open Space

This is St Paul’s Kirk in Perth, it was a very dilapidated state for many a year after the congregation moved to another, the outer walls have been restored and is now an open space for dance, art, performances etc, it’s a place for reflection too, with a few seats in the inner space, after dark it is lit in various colours

Earlier ut was the book meet up in the local library, first this year, it’s not about dissecting a book we have read, it’s suggesting favourite books and inevitable the topics are widespread!

I had a ticket at the Ak Bell Soutar Theatre for the screen showing of a National Theatre of Scotland play about Joseph Knight who was a slave brought here to Perthshire by his master John Wedderburn, in 1760s, Joseph left his service & Wedderburn had him arrested however after 2 appeals Joseph was freed, as slavery was not recognised by Scots Law
a powerful harrowing tale, very good performance by the actors

In extras before the performance I had a coffee in a wee cafe Johnnie Orange is the name, the cafe dug is adorable ! Bobo!
In another life I had a precious dug of the same name, he was a black Labrador
