One Step at a Time

Made in Belgium

Adolphe Sax is second only to Eddy Merckx in the current Top Ten of famous Belgians (famousbelgians.net). Although a musician in his own right, he didn't hit the big time until he developed the Saxophone which he patented today in 1846. The success of the instrument earned him a place at the Paris Conservatoire. This is a Tenor Sax (so fairly big and heavy) and it's being ably put through it's paces by my daughter. So the saxophone is 167 today. Mick Fleetwood and Jeff Beck are slightly younger but share a birthday.
