I thought I'd trial using my new wheelbarrow to take tools, wellies etc up to the allotment, it's a 10 minute walk. Well it might only be 10 minutes but it's slightly uphill and I've not had much to do with wheelbarrows in my life. It was quite hard work, but it did the job. I took the blackcurrant bush and got it planted, and finished digging the rest of that bed.

Home, lunch and then off to the art class. Another day using pencils, this time getting to know body proportions, and estimating facial distances. 

Next week we're working in oil pastels and have been asked to bring an avocado... although considering the cost of the course I'd have thought the props would've been included.
