(036) Rush Hour

This is a view from the High Level bridge in Newcastle, looking over the Swing Bridge and towards the Tyne Bridge, in the late afternoon. Maintenance work on the high level bridge means that the walkway is narrower than usual so I wasn't able to properly set up my tripod for this shot. Out of a dozen attempts at a (not very) long exposure I got two frames that were acceptably sharp, this being one of them. The extra is a telephoto view (also showing bits of the Swing Bridge and Tyne Bridge) from our hotel room window, looking along the Tyne to where the morning sunshine was lighting up the riverside apartments.
