In the centre of the city, amongst the high rise buildings and redevelopment work, sits the Holy Jesus Hospital building, in the shadow of the 55o North apartment complex. Dating back to the 13th century and with previous uses including friary, almshouse, soup kitchen, and hospital, the Grade 2 listed building is now a working office in the care of the National Trust.
