Cavern Club - Liverpool

We have been in Liverpool recently, mainly for the Beatles Experience but also to catch up with OH relatives who we see a couple of times a year. 

The original club from the 1960's was partly demolished many years ago, but around 15,000 of the bricks from that building were re-used to re-create the latest version of this iconic club without the smelly and smoky atmosphere that used to pervade the original. 

For those on here too young to remember this was where the Beatles played before they were famous.  The walls of this club are festooned with photographs of other musicians who have played here more recently, from Elvis Costello to Jesse J and KT Tunstall.  A very interesting place if you love your music.
