Matthew Street - Liverpool

Our whistle stop tour of Liverpool continued today with visits in the rain to the Liverpool Museum and the Walker Art Gallery.  

This is Matthew Street, home of all things Cavern and Beatles.  There is the Cavern Pub, Restaurant, Club and next Door, Sgt Pepper's Bar and club!   The Wall of Fame Bar is nothing to do with Cavern  but its outside wall features the names of the 54 Liverpool artists who have had number 1 hits from 1952 onwards. Naturally the Beatles dominate the wall.
