On Some Days

Don't Rock The Boat . . . Hues Corporation

After taking down our camp and loading everything into the boat or the truck we went to say goodbye to the beach.  There was an easterly swell which made landing and loading the water taxi's fun to watch.  There is no way I wanted to be aboard.  One taxi came into the estruary and unloaded and then loaded more passengers quite easily but the fun part was leaving and heading out to sea against the waves. ( see extra )  Behind a sand dune another taxi had landed straight on the beach and it was a rocky entry aboard and a splashy departure through the waves.  The campground we stay at is near the northern end of the Able Tasman Track.  It is a popular walk and some people combine a water taxi ride with walking.
I will post back blips soon . . .
