Rain Forest

The day looked a little different this morning as the sun came out and lit the world up. So ... I took myself up to Dartmoor where the rain was on and off (but more on than off). I parked by Venford reservoir with the intention of walking to Bench Tor but as the fine rain came down I changed my mind and decided to walk along the lower path by Venford Brook as there's a little more shelter from trees.

This is temperate rain forest and the the moss covered boulders were a brilliant green colour. I thought they made a lovely picture looking down towards the brook with lichen covered trees and catkins shining in some brief sunshine.

I got soaked but it was great to get out for a couple of hours.
