Most of the day I spent working on the upstairs window on the wee room. Jeesus, knackering work. Just getting in and out the thing, then standing on the sill and trying to renew all the mastic. I should really employ a professional. I would if I hadn't spent all my money on Hearts!
Later down to the boat - just to take it over to the pontoon. Any excuse really, but I have an 85 year old visitor who wants to come and visit it tomorrow. I may need a hoist to get him aboard of course. The whole place seemed very calm and it was good just to sit awhile.
Right. Back to Eck's interview in the New Statesman and then there's the Book Festival programme to go through. But first, a cup of tea.
