Brian's Bits

By Kanyl

First sight.

Of G. Woronowii which Jerra tentatively ID-ed as Ikariae; must ask how/why next meet.  I can understand folk wondering if it IS A Snowdrop when you look at the glossy greenness of its leaves compared with all th others.
Just to be orkert my search leans more towards Woronowii thus:-
"The leaves of Galanthus ikariae are matt green, sometimes greyish tinged, those of G. woronowii are bright shiny green. The green markings on the tube of G. ikariae are larger and more pronounced."
Must nip out in daylight and look @ its green within the flower.
