IT'S MOTORHEAD SUNDAY

Today's submission is one that I'm guessing many of you motorheads have never heard of much less seen.  It's a Shelby CanAm which was raced in the U.S. from the early to the mid 1990s.  So maybe a few U.S. gearheads might have seen one or two  but after 1996 the model was shipped off to South Africa where they raced in their own class for a few years.

Except for one year where they ran a honking big Oldsmobile 4-cam V8 pushing 500HP engine, they typically run a V6 powered by Dodge or Nissan.  To learn more about this fine race car follow the link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelby_Can-Am
