The ghostly Geisha calls

Drawn towards the ghostly Geisha

Hand series. Day sixteen. (Effect not photoshopped)

It's a choice between 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and 'Into Thin Air.' I'll pick one. My friend suggested 'Howard's end' as well. That will have to wait a bit.

Took some time out to look at Wimbledon photographs from The Guardian's website. The better ones among them embody many fascinating qualities. Motion, raw emotion, the "unguarded moment".... all these elements converge together to express a singular idea. To be able to see, so that such moments can be captured on camera is a direction I would love to move towards. It is a challenge and a journey.

Was browsing through the work of another very gifted photographer; he said something to the effect of "no one really cares about all the 'artistic' and technically perfect photos people struggle so hard to take. All they remember are photos of themselves, their friends and family."

I suppose this is not wholly inaccurate and denying this will mostly be a form of escape. But there shall always be photographers.
