I joined a local garden club today and visited the vegetable growing section of Royalburn Station.
It was fascinating hearing the head gardener tell us about his no-dig organic methods and how they’ve pared down their vegetable production to just producing what’s really selling well. Their racks and racks of drying garlic bulbs were very impressive. I think garlic must be their best
seller.
The derelict petrol pump was languishing outside the 100 year old wooden wool shed behind it, which was built well before the turn of this century.

This evening one of my neighbours hosted her own birthday get together and treated us with bubbles and some of her cooking. It was all delightful - lots of chatter too.
