Moon Goddess

I’m in a post-holiday phase of photographing things around the house and garden and today it’s this bronze wall plaque that catches my eye. 

I’m usually very good at remembering exactly where and when we bought things, but this one is the exception. It may well have been bought on our only trip to Ireland as it’s by The Wild Goose Studio in Kinsale and depicts The Triple or Moon Goddess - woman as Mother, Nymph and Hag. According to the information on the back of the plaque, here she is sitting on the sea shore. ‘Queen of land, sea and air (consciousness, unconsciousness and soul), she waits at the boundary for man to come and embrace all of her aspects then she becomes queen and he king.’
