Joan the..... Who?

I made a chicken, ham & leek creamy wholegrain mustard sauced pie filling after breakfast. I'm using up freezer finds. Walked up to town, picked up the paper. Drove down to CK. Walked Indie in glorious sunshine. We had coffee then spent an hour on the jigsaw puzzle. Mum had misplaced her tablets so I had a look in her bedside table..... Memorabilia & more, as you can see from the Blip, including 2 jewelry boxes, 1 with broken pieces of jewelry, the other wearable brooches, a silver heart pendant, photos of Mum & Dad inside, & Joan the Wad... Joan the who?..... Joan the Wad, who apparently is the Queen of the Pixies according to Cornish & Devon folklore. Another half hour of reminiscing followed.
Nipped out to Trago to exchange some pipe lagging, then back to Chudleigh, Mum came as well. Made the pie with bought puff pastry, add new potatoes, broccoli & carrots. Dinner done.
I dropped Mum home, checked the tv, electric blanket, central heating. Back home for Countryfile, & The Great Pottery Throw Down later. Some brilliant, wacky teapots & mugs constructed on tonight's episode.
