Grandma's sewing machine

Today we've returned to Harrow in readiness for our Aunty's funeral tomorrow.  We've done some sorting out of her flat
My sister uncovered this old Singer sewing machine which belonged to our grandma. It must have sewn thousands of miles of fabric during her long life. The wooden handle is quite worn. Grandma was a cutter, by profession, in a London fashion house in the 1920s. Later, when a mother and housewife, she was forever making  dresses and curtains and other household linens. My sister has inherited our grandma's flair for needlework, and they spent many happy hours sewing together when my sister was a teenager. My sister will be adding this lovely old machine to her collection of sewing machines.
