a lifetime burning

Amy

Last night's camera club night was dedicated to portrait photography without the aid of any studio lighting.  This portrait of Amy relied on an LED  lantern behind to produce the rim lighting and a softer domestic lamp to provide the fill lighting from the front.  It works surprisingly well and the end result shows just what can be achieved without the need for expensive strobes etc.

I know that strictly this shot was taken yesterday night rather than today, but it was quite late by the time I got home, and then I ended up having to do my Duolingo homework as I'd fallen into the relegation zone (again).
