a lifetime burning

Harrier

After the gloom and wet of yesterday, it was good to be able to get out this morning and head on down to the Somerset Levels.

There seems to be a fair amount of spring-like behaviour going on amongst the birds, and with the temperature in the teens it felt unseasonably mild.  I was lucky with one of the female marsh harriers and couldn't decide which of two shots I liked the most, so I've given you them both.

After a productive morning I headed home to join Cathy for lunch, and now it's pouring again.  But I don't mind now, as I can happily sit inside and edit this morning's shots :-)
