Friend's Day

Temperature about zero. It's been snowing from yesterday almost all the time. Very white again. But much slush is expected next days.

Today is Valentine's Day. We in Finland call it ystävänpäivä meaning "Friend's Day". As the name indicates, this day is more about remembering friends, not significant others. It's been celebrated here since 1980's. Of course friends are worth of remembering every day, but perhaps the special day for it reminds us of the importance of that.

Last year the weather of this day was very different, only a few degrees warmer, but almost without snow and ice. You can see it from my blip then Feb 14th, '23.

In the picture the small plate we bought ages ago is anothetr of two meant to the used tea bag. Chocolate is so called raw chocolate that we like a lot.  I always melt the chocolate and put it to heart shaped molds with almond grouts. Very naive shape, but they are cute :)
