Robin and Two Dippers

Nice outside. A lovely walk at lunchtime in the sunshine. So welcome after the recent dull weather. In the woods, the sunlight reaches the woodland floor. The wild leek is starting to make it's appearance, although its pungent smell, that many mistake for wild garlic, has yet to make it presence. n a small tree, a robin was singing away.

Still sunny in the afternoon, so popped down the Braid Burn. The dippers have resurfaced after a long absence. Two of them sitting on rocks in the stream, then diving in looking for food. Quite a bit cooler than it was at lunchtime.

Later in the evening, wintry showers moved in. There was a lightning strike nearby, followed by a loud clap of thunder. It hit the local Majestic Wine Warehouse. There were reports of two police cars outside the shop, presumably because the lightning strike had set the alarm off.
