Fossil Ice

There must have been some thawing and refreezing going on in the lake ice. Today there were quite a few bubbles showing which made some interesting patterns. I liked this one which reminded me of fossilised remains. Quite what sort of creature this might have been, I'm not sure.

Extra: First Sighting. A robin! I saw several blackbirds as well. Spring is on its way.
