Results

So, the Ancestry DNA results have landed. Surprised at how very different the ethnicity estimates are from those by 23andme, but they are only estimates. However, these estimates seem much more vague, if that's the right word, than the others.

They did confirm that HW is a second cousin, i.e. we share a set of great grandparents, but we'd already established that without the need for the DNA test! Some of the more-distant relative matches look interesting; maybe they'll provide links to the past...

ION To the dentist this afternoon for take 2 on the filling in my back tooth. This time it involved local anaesthetic and drilling - hoping it lasts much longer than the first one! How I miss Sarah, my previous dentist, up in Northumberland!
