In the garden

A dry afternoon gave me time to move on with late winter tree pruning.  I've cut it fine with the quince tree, as I can see buds almost ready to open on some branches. Anyway... it's done now, courtesy of the telescopic pruning gadget that I bought last year; it has a terrifyingly sharp pair of blades. But it means I can reach the highest branches without using a ladder.
Before doing that I had a play with the soft focus Lensbaby lens, lying on the path and looking up into the faces of some hellebore blooms.  I only noticed the tiny snail when I was downloading the images.
