Brenchley Gardens, Maidstone

Their attractiveness in the February sunshine belies its reputation for nefarious goings on after dark. Still, I enjoyed it this morning, so did others and do can you. A little peaceful haven betwixt the railway station, museum and town centre.

Thank you for your comments on yesterday’s rant. I feel particularly aggrieved by the actions of certain organisations have no regard for the needs and wishes of so many people. As Knottman2 said, it is an uphill struggle but we must continue our efforts. I wholeheartedly agree.

Plastic Free Tenterden, on which I represent our Railway, is affiliated to Surfers Against Sewage and it part of a growing national network of places aiming to reduce single use and hard to recycle plastics: https://www.sustainable-tenterden.org/plastic-free

The Railway is hosting a Green Fun Day on Sunday 7th April where various environmental organisations will have stands and will give talks. There will be entertainment with the Marmites appearing as we did last year. If you’re in Kent, come and have a look: https://www.sustainable-tenterden.org/events/green-fun-day

After our morning in town we went our separate ways. Susan to spend time with her mum and me to the allotment where I finally finished the no dig beds, see extra.

All ready for Friday night chocolate. Many of you liked that idea. Are you joining us tonight?
