Dutch Spotted spotted

We were invited to go and admire these Dutch Spotted lambs and their mums, so we did. They were very appealing indeed. Just something about new life that gladdens the heart, especially when they take off into the air from standing stock still!

We had an important appointment to keep in Stromness so buzzed over there afterwards and then had a lovely walk by the sea. It was nearly 5pm by the time we returned to the car and still not sunset; the days are getting significantly longer now. 

The ground is still saturated everywhere but at least the rain today was short and fairly insignificant.  

Tonight was trophy presentation night for the local golf club. Nothing for me but I basked in the reflected glory of the woman next to me who scooped at least four cups! A great achievement.
