Thoughtfulness....

Had to go back to Ekwendeni today to collect the girl I left yesterday to stay overnight in the village. She had a great time with a Malawian family and visited several nursery schools too. While I was at the village lots of children came running to see what was happening with the car being there. These children did not seem terribly happy - I noticed one had a pot belly probably meaning he is malnourished from a lack of protein and has Kwashiorkor.

Usually when I visit a village the children are really happy and vibrant! Maybe they were tired after being at school or maybe they were hungry! But for once there was not a lot of joy!
