Windmill 'De Hoop', Wolphaartsdijk

'Hoop' = sounds like and means 'hope', but can also mean 'heap'
'Wolphaartsdijk' = 'Wohl-farts-dike'  (and not 'Wolfartsdidge')

This was the fifth time I passed by this windmill, which was built in 1808.  The first three times, scattered over the past two years, the rods had been taken off for repair, the fourth time was late last year and it was facing the wrong way and there was a crane in front of it.  I thought I'd try it again today, and bingo.  It has just undergone repairs, not only with regards to the rods but also the gears.  I often give the windmill nicknames and this one I call 'the Rocket'.

Other than the hunt, a quiet day, actually.  A technician from the company that owns the devices for our heating and hot water came around to replace a broken piston-shaped spare part so that we could use hot water again.  Cost:  zero euros because the equipment is theirs.  We pay every three months to use it.  Not much MOOCking but some discussion about yesterday's event.  After dinner, AW left for Friday evening live bridge at Sweed's and Benna's.  Thankful for the day after.
