Splish splash squelch!

We went for a long walk in Sutton Park first thing this morning stopping to have an early coffee at the Blackroot Bistro before negotiating muddy paths and large puddles, in places.
Lovely to be amongst trees and have little glimpses of sunshine.
Having walked alongside Blackroot Pool ( photo in extra) we went on to Bracebridge Pool.
In a clearing en route we came across the wild Exmoor ponies, which were imported to help with the general ecology. There are notices in various places about them, and asking that people do not feed them.
It was lovely to see this large group.
This afternoon I have my fortnightly 90 minute French Conversation on Zoom, but I will have a bit of time beforehand to continue to prune some of the remaining roses before putting fresh compost around them and giving them a feed.
More ponies in extras.,
