the long way round

A lot of stuff done in the garden today. A nice bright almost springlike day. We went to our local nursery for some seedling compost and had to go the long way round because the road was flooded - quite deep in the middle. Bought a bag of first early spuds too so I’ll chit those on the windowsill. Was almost tempted to buy a tree fern - he’d only got 2 - but decided to check first if they need any special growing conditions.
