Best spent time

I walked to school on a balmy morning, removing my jacket halfway way there. I was helping in class 6 again. They had just started an English assessment, while the teacher was working through two pages of jobs to do, surrounded by piles of paperwork and books, entering statistics against each child. I worked through pages of spellings, and handwriting books. After break they had a maths assessment, which we then marked and added to her pile of statistics to be entered...

Walked up to the last but one counselling session in shirt sleeves and a warm 16°.
We talked about Dad quite a bit, as she felt he was 'missing' from the 'goodbye' letter, which is an overview of what we've talked about over these last months, what I've learnt and bullet points to help keep moving forward. There were tears.

It's good to see so much blossom on the trees again and daffodils and crocuses in the park on the walk home.

I had a couple of guilt free hours in the "happylittleshed" mosaicing before making dinner and having a calmer chat with FK about work experience and mocks, while dotting in how much we love him and how proud we are of him already, and that will never change. There was laughter.
Cadets for him and a recording of Landscape artist for us.
