Vitrine

I like freespiral’s photos of the lace-curtained windows of abandoned cottages in West Cork, so was immediately drawn to this photographic exhibition. It’s in a former corner shop, itself rundown and seemingly never open. I nipped over to blip it between downpours but as usual there was a bloody parked car in the way.

The artist is Elise Gellweiler. Oh no! I just looked her up and the project is called Windows to Ireland. And - update - freespiral has blipped the one on the left.

This is four years. I still love the challenge of a daily photo, the generous community and the real and virtual friends. It’s a small world.
