Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac - Jumping at Shadows (recorded  10 June 1969, BBC Studio 1, 201 Piccadilly, London, for Symonds On Sunday, Radio One)
This comes from a 2CD called Live At The BBC which I have owned since 2007. It's a Dual Layer disc set, where one side plays as a CD and the other as an audio DVD. At the time I could only play the CD sides and it wasn't until this rainy day that I explored the DVD aspect. It has been mastered to 5.1 surround, but as the original mastertapes were mono, each channel sounds the same. However, every track comes with a new on screen photograph from the period covered by the CDs (1967-1971) and there are liner notes and detailed information (some of it incorrect!). The BBC producers (including John Walters) and engineers did a great job in capturing probably the finest blues-based band of the era, one I was lucky enough to see live at the Mothers Club in Erdington.
Jumping At Shadows was written and first recorded by Duster Bennett, and was performed by his friend Peter Green in his honour.
