Eagle And Blackbird

The eagle was a long way away, but his outline was unmistakable. I got a few frames in the bag including this one and walked quickly towards his direction.

In the nearer frames his head was obscured by a branch, unfortunately, and I couldn't reposition to avoid it. I did get one more shot as he took flight, but that one was from the rear.

When he landed again across the lake I couldn't see him clearly because of heat haze, it was that warm today.

So this was the best of the lot. He looks a bit bedraggled, in need of a good preen.
