A showery start to the day. I drove down to the shops for weekend essentials (and a few treats) then did a clothes wash.

A very early lunch before going to Bowness. Seemed the easy option to keep my feet dry as many of the footpaths on the fells have turned into streams.  I wasn’t expecting two sets of temporary traffic lights.

A selection of photos (I managed to catch a plane in one) all from the early part of my wander because my hands were getting cold so I put the camera away.  Spotted a rainbow as I drove back past the piers. Nowhere to stop for a photo.
