Ambiance

The village social club organised a rather belated celebration of chandeleur (candlemas) this evening. It was heavily pancake-based, but before the meal an extremely extended apero (an hour and a half ... luckily there were some snacks to soak up some of the booze) ensured that the ambiance was déchaînée. Between the savoury pancakes stuffed with ham and béchamel, and the sweet ones with jam, nutella, or sugar and lemon, we were subjected to both the Madison and the Macarena (extra of all the generations enjoying the latter). I had a camera malfunction which took a while to sort out, and I also decided to try shooting with only the 25mm prime lens, so I had a limited selection of photos to choose from.

I took S to the airport this morning, but we'll be seeing each other again soon. His mum moved into a nearby care home yesterday, so he's going to see how she's settling in. Hopefully it will make life less stressful for everyone.
