A walk on the Monty

We had a lovely frost first thing that changed into a sunny morning. F and I decided to go for a walk and make the most of the weather and went along a stretch of the Montgomery Canal.

The Canal and Rivers Trust had been dredging the canal and had cut lots of vegetation and trees down. One of the casualties was a big alder which was always a good place to see siskins and other small birds so that was sad.

There were lots of celandines and primroses along the bank and I was pleased to see my first violets of the year. My other photo is of the old salt warehouse, now a house.

When we got back to the car it began to rain then hail so we've had quite a mix of weather!
