Careless Wispa

...o.k there is a Dairy Milk wrapper in there too but Careless Wispa (my sincere apologies to any George Michael fans out there) was too good a pun to miss! :-) Today's shot is of what me and my brother have taken to calling our "armchair chocolate" - or in this particular case the careless aftermath of consuming it - where we line up a couple of duo chocolate bars on the arms of our chairs and settle down with an accompanying glass of wine (or two) for a Saturday afternoon of feelgood telly.
One of favourites at the moment is Big Boys on Channel 4. It's a loosely autobiographical show that tells the story of "mummy's boy" Jack becoming the first in his working-class family to go to university. When he arrives at uni he comes out and becomes best friends with Danny, a seemingly jack the lad type character. Their gay-straight relationship is utterly lovely but is also mined for humour. A critic in the Guardian describes it perfectly as "landing with its own voice, its own style and, crucially, a huge amount of warmth and pathos that set it apart as something special". We absolutely loved the fist series and the second series has just started airing in the last couple of weeks. It can be weepy and laugh out loud within the same episode with a wonderful ensemble cast. Just brilliant TV!
