Eye to Eye

Clouds and New Snow …

… are a lovely combination in photos, not so lovely when considering the avalanche risk which was level 3 of 5 today. Yet so many people were heading to the Col de Fenestral in the right of this photo with big slopes above them which often come down after new snow. Josiane with her bionic hips (extra) and I, took a less steep route but it was hard work as we had to make the track ourselves to Le Tsantonnaire, the top of the Ovronnaz ski system and skied safely down the pistes.

Huge thanks for your appreciation of yesterday’s magical new snow too. Winter is still around above 2,000m!
