Eye to Eye

Rest Day …

… much needed after a great week of mountain adventures. Many thanks for sharing those special days with me.

However it wasn’t a rest day for this male Dipper, he was intent on showing his chosen partner his very best moves. I have often seen Dippers collecting nest material, swimming to find their food like mini penguins, or feeding very demanding youngsters, but I had never seen this before! He doesn’t look like the little, bobbing, black/brown bird with his white shirt, that you usually see! Who would have thought he had all those russet feathers hidden away? He’s singing at the top of his voice too. He finally got some attention (extra).

I had gone out to photograph the moon this morning but there was too much cloud (second extra).

Hope you had a great weekend.
