Dales Day

First Dales Day with Norm in ages. Went to Watershed Mill near Settle and then tootled up round the back of Pen-y-Ghent and back down Wharfedale. We had some good weather. There's nowhere better on a nice day than the Dales.

Finished the first series of 'Last Tango in Halifax' - I enjoyed it but think they overuse the word 'appen. I've lived in Yorkshire all my life and haven't come across many Yorkshire folk saying it, only in a jokey, mimicky way... usually alongside "Eee bah gum!" (which is also something no one from Yorkshire actually ever says hehe). Perhaps it's the same as us Northerners saying, "Cor blimey gav'na!" when taking off cockneys ;-)
