Orchard AGM

How fortuitous to have chosen today to have a work party at the Dervaig Community Orchard and also hold our AGM. It was quite balmy working in the spring sunshine. We are trying a new way of protecting our fruit trees from rabbits which are intent on gnawing the bark. We have tried in vain to track down how the little blighters are getting into the rabbit/deer fenced space. The weather was so lovely that we all stayed much longer than planned and it was still sunny and light as we drove home after five. We didn’t have long to put our feet up and relax before we were out again, this time to enjoy a meal at the Bellachroy with fellow orchard volunteers.
