Somewhere or other in France

The ride follows the historic Route Napoleon - where Napoleon marched his elephants over the Alps (or something like that - I may be getting a bit muddled).

So we are following the lower mountains of the Alps to the east and the Vercours across the valley to the west. So many breathtaking views. Several of us stopped to snap this castle. A local Frenchman came past us and looked to see what we were taking and looked puzzled. What's so special about that? he seemed to be thinking.
