The Road Home

I visited my mother and her carers for lunch and coffee. This time, I didn’t get a blip in my mother’s garden, as it rained almost the entire time I was there. There was a bit of sleet in some of the showers, but not enough to turn the ground white.

Only as I was driving home, the sun came out for a little while, and I spotted the end of a rainbow over the forest near our favourite farm shop (the pink house on the left). The road was empty enough for me to stop for a blip, but by the time I had grabbed my phone, the rainbow had almost vanished.
