Chooks!

Chris has been looking after our next door but one neighbours' chickens this week. Our immediate neighbours normally do this but they were going to be away too, so Chris volunteered.

No probs; they jump out when the door is opened and jump back in when it gets dark so you can just lock them in. Here in the run they come running to the fence as soon as they hear you but I have resisted going to see them till today as all has not gone smoothly.

On the second day one was looking non too good and the following day died! So Chris found himself burying a chicken! (Apparently it had been ill before - phew!)

Any way these three ladies look pretty sparky and have given us 10 eggs so far.

Spanish omelette for tea!
