Wound up in Wexford

Painters working

Astonishing progress.  In one day they've completed the guest bedroom (emulsioning only, as the door frames and skirting are varnished oak, and in no need of redoing) and done all the emulsion in the hall, stairs and landing.  The hallway has transformed from the rather dingy brown to a bright off white.  There's still a lot to do in the hall, because all the woodwork - bannisters and panelling - needs to be sanded and painted.

Tomorrow they expect to completely repaint the lounge.  And probably the small downstairs bedroom.

In other news, a bright sunshiny day, but very cold, with a biting wind.  W wanted to work on the raised beds, but it was just too cold for him.  I had a haircut, and did lots of hand sewing.
