Promise of Leaf

The smooth texture of a concrete post provides a backdrop to the textures of an emerging hydrangea leaf.

S has been in the garden today pruning the bushes back. This is a very bushy garden - a lot more to do tomorrow. Once that’s all clear I’ll cut the grass , it’s getting really long. I cannot remember it growing like this in February in previous years.,
