Wink's Hardware

Pushnuts are "a push-on fastener ideal for retaining components to shafts, tubes and studs," i.e., the tiny part that kept the wheel attached to our hand-truck, but had disappeared.
So we went to Wink's Hardware, where you take a number, give it to the clerk who stands behind a counter, giving you a place to display your problem, or maybe to draw a small diagram of it, where you can lean on an elbow while you try to explain what you need, or in our case, where you place the small wheel and point to where the missing part goes. Then, the clerk looks you in the eye with confidence, and disappears along the row upon row of shelves that hold millions of small bits of hardware in open boxes. There she finds just what you need. As you wait, and the wait isn't long, your husband, so relieved and happy Wink's is still around, turns to you with a grin and says, "see anything you want?" I could've walked out of there with a brand new, shiny sharpener, file, tape measure anything. But I didn't, instead I waited those few minutes until the clerk returned with two small bits that fit perfectly. She printed out a small receipt for $1.05 and off we went to the cashier by the front door where we paid, and left. Oh, the marvelous sense of mission accomplished, having had the  best customer service from Wink's - once again.
