While Meg was at the vets I kept myself distracted at pottery.  Not difficult when you have someone working on an inspirational piece right next to you!   Kathy was one of the early potters at Jill's and our paths first crossed around twenty years ago, at the original Jill's Pottery which was at Tyn Llwyn Hen, at the end of an unmade road, above Rhydyronen.   Inspired by seeing one on a recent trip to the other side of the world, she's embarked on this wonderful creation.  A Columbian Cockerel.  Isn't he fantastic?   If the piece works out OK Kathy says she's going to make a big one, really big :-)

Meg - and I - survived her day at the vets.  Two badly broken molar teeth extracted, the roots difficult to deal with but the vet pronounced himself happy that he'd got them out whole.  She did look very crestfallen when I picked her up and was a bit wobbly still.  She perked up a little at home when I was cooking tea but has mostly just laid on the floor, not even moving if I had to step over her.   She's dozing on her bed now.  Extra pic of her post-op.  Anti-biotics and pain killers for a week or so then she should be well on the mend.
