Greenhoose Season Started

A windy day, showers in the morning, drier and sunny spells in the afternoon.  More showers this evening, and a strong gale blowing.

Day off and up early.  A morning puttering about the house, then headed our walkies when the showers cleared.  Spent some time in the greenhouse.  Met friends after lunch, we headed to the cinema to watch Argylle, which was hilarious.  Walkies with Sammy and popped by Madeline's.  Working in the shop this evening, a busy night, despite the weather.  Fire on, feet up for the night.

I had neglected the greenhouse over the winter, so today was a good day to make the effort of a clear out, tidy up and start sowing some bedding plant seeds.  I've got various varieties to sow, just the usual, violas, petunia, marigolds etc, and a few new seeds I've not tried.  I'll hopefully get more time in the greenhouse over the next week or so.  Taken in Hawthorn Cottage garden, Houl Road, Scalloway.
